The compact body makes this guitar the perfect companion for fingerpicking and light strumming. The small body is very comfortable to hold. 24.75" Scale Length keeps the strings feeling slinky on the left hand, allowing for the hours of practice to add up fast.
The slim-profile neck has what is known as Gibson Scale Length, measuring in at 24 7/8" scale length. This keeps the strings feeling slinky. 1 11/16" nut width is a very comfortable width, even for small hands or those not used to stretching. Taylor made sure to sweat the details so this guitar is playable for literally every set of hands that touch it!
The Taylor Academy 12e is an Acoustic-Electric Guitar and it comes loaded from the factory with the ES-B pickup system. Think of it as the Expression System Lite. The guitar also comes with a sturdy lightweight Taylor gig bag. It is very protective and makes carrying the guitar around a breeze thanks to its shoulder straps.
