The Fender® Classic Player 60’s Stratocaster in Sonic Blue combines classic design with contemporary upgrades appealing to guitarists everywhere at all levels. Robin's Egg, Baby Blue, this color could be called a lot of things, including beautiful! One of our shop favorites Sonic Blue looks great with a Mint Green pickguard.
Designed by Fender Custom Shop Master Builder Greg Fessler, it offers classic and contemporary elements with 1960s-era Strat® style and fine features such as custom '69 pickups with modern switching, the comfortable feel of a modern neck profile and flatter rosewood fingerboard, classic two-point synchronized tremolo bridge and much more.
The Fender Custom Shop '69 pickups are simply fantastic sounding. With all the glorious bell like chime and sweetness you could want, these pickups nail the sounds of the late 60's and early 1970's! A 5 way switch, master volume, and two tone controls grant access to a wealth of quintessential Strat tones!
For the neck on the Classic Player 60's Strat, a modern C shaped neck profile is topped with a Pao Ferro Fingerboard, a 12" radius and 21 medium Jumbo Frets. This is a fast playing neck, perfect for the fleet fingered that prefer a flat fingerboard. Classic nut width of 1.650" and scale length of 25.5" are present for a classic taut feeling Strat.
