Epiphone has really outdone themselves with this model, the Epiphone 1959 Les Paul Standard Electric Guitar Aged Dark Cherry Burst is Made in partnership with the Gibson™ Custom Shop! The Limited Edition 1959 Les Paul™ Standard is Epiphone's stunning recreation of the rare vintage classic.
The Epiphone 1959 Les Paul Standard features a mahogany body with a AAA figured maple top, for the perfect blend of beef and bit. The ultra-comfortable 1959 hand-rolled neck profile with long neck tenon has a great full feel and is super stable. The neck is made from Mahogany and then topped with a Bound Rosewood Fingerboard. 24.75" Scale Length and a 12" fingerboard radius stay true to the original 59 LP.
For this special guitar, Epiphone chose Gibson USA BurstBucker™ 2 & 3 humbucking pickups, so this 59 LP was born to rip! Friendly reminder, these pickups sell for $175 EACH as an aftermarket part. That's $350 for the pair and this entire guitar sells for $849! #VALUE. Each pickup has its own volume and tone control thanks to CTS Pots and is accessible on its own or in tandem via the Switchcraft 3-way toggle switch.
While researching this model, I was shocked at how cool this take on the 59 Les Paul is! Epiphone took this one seriously and did a phenomenal job! The Long Neck Tenon, upgraded electronics, and Gibson Burstbuckers are a major plus that has this guitar playing and sounding like guitars way more expensive! The included Lifton Style case is just another bonus! This is a Limited Edition offering from Epiphone Guitars so snag one while you can!
