The Epiphone Casino Archtop Hollow Body in Vintage Sunburst has been a staple of the guitar world for decades. Being the go-to guitar of choice of John Lennon during an iconic period of The Beatles career ensured this guitar's place in Rock n' Roll History for, well, ever. Its shorter reach makes for the perfect rhythm guitar

The slimmest true Hollowbody, this one is not a semi-hollow like an ES-335. It's lightweight and far more lively and resonant as a result. The neck attaches at about the 15th making this a better choice for the rhythm guitar player. One thing about just about all the guitars John Lennon played was that they were on the stocky side, shorter, rather than longer. If an SG neck feels too far out there for you, the Casino orients more like a Les Paul which for some is easier on the left shoulder/arm.

A pair of Epiphone P-90 Pickups each have their own volume and tone controls. A 3-way toggle grants access to all the sounds you'll need to nail the sounds of the era. Flat picked or finger picked, the Epiphone Casino has a very pronounced mid-range that helps it have solid acoustic principles. Even unplugged this slim hollow body is an inspiring play!

The neck is made from Mahogany and adheres to the body around the 14th fret, unlike an ES-335. This stockier feel is easy on the left shoulder, especially when playing in the open position. The bound fingerboard is made from Pau Ferro and has a 12" fingerboard radius. 22 medium-jumbo frets, 24.75" scale length, and 1.68" nut width combine for a familiar feel, like many Gibson Guitars over the decades.

The Epiphone Casino was introduced in 1961 and it has become a sought-after model by players around the globe. It's a surprisingly great playing guitar that is more comfortable than one would expect. Played acoustically or plugged in, this Casino is an inspiring play that can chime with sweetness or growl with a serious attitude.
