This Limited Edition 2005 Fender Custom Shop 1956 Stratocaster in Taos Turquoise is in on trade and it is in great shape. The neck is straight, the frets are still nicely crowned, and the truss rod is functioning properly. Included with the guitar is the original hardshell case and certificate of authenticity.
Certainly a less common color but one that we love and that draws the eye of everyone who passes by it. Taos Turquoise looks like a tranquil tropical sea. It's one of Fenders most soothing colors to look at. This one is aged lightly, with weather checking, some dings and dents along with some fretboard wear but nothing that sticks out as being over the top or egregious.
The 10/56 Neck is on the chunky side, a bit more full feeling than some others and the V in the 1st position is a little more pronounced than on some others as well. By the 7th fret the neck has tapered to a full feeling U shape which continues up to the heel. It's topped with a 9.5" radius and 6105 frets for fast and easy playability no matter the position.
50's era pickups are tied to a 5 way switch, a master volume, the bottom tone is tied to the bridge pickup with the middle tone controlling all other positions. Super spanky, bright, articulate tones can be found in all positions with nice quack in 2 and 4. A perfect Strat for early rock n roll tones and for doing the bluesy countrified thing.
