Gretsch G5421 Electromatic Jet Club in Firebird Red CYG21011012

Regular price $499.00 $399.00 Sale

The Gretsch G5421 Electromatic Jet Club in Firebird Red offers performance, looks, and features well above its price point! Featuring an arched maple top with a chambered basswood body and bolt-on maple necks with rosewood fingerboards. A Bolt-On Neck helps cut the manufacturing costs making it one of the few Gretsch Guitars without a set neck. A little extra snap on the strings sure is a beautiful thing to my ears!

The G5425 Jet Club has a single-cutaway-shaped body, much like a Les Paul. The body is made from chambered basswood and topped with an arched maple top that resonates true to "That Great Gretsch Sound™". A two-tone body color scheme involves a beautiful Red Top matched to a black back.

A pair of Gretsch dual-coil humbucking pickups ensure a luscious, time-tested tone. These pickups are steeped in TV Jones Style Sauce. A clear and airy top end is matched to a well-mannered low-end. The bridge pickup can bite with the best of them, the neck pickup is fat, round, and juicy, and in the middle position, we just have pure heaven. A perfect balance between the 2 pickups that has an acoustic-like quality.

The neck is made from maple and is bolted on, rather than being set-in like most Gretsch Guitars. The fingerboard is made from Rosewood and carries a 12" fingerboard radius. 22 medium jumbo frets give us a highly playable surface to work with.  24.6" scale length gives the strings a slinky feel that is super easy on the left hand. 1.6875" nut width is very comfortable so the strings just always seem to be right where they are supposed to be.

The Gretsch Guitars being made in China are shockingly good. Like, blow you away, how are they making this for so little, good. Imagine a Les Paul that sounds open, clear, not compressed, and allows for dynamic input from the player. That's what this <$500 guitar offers.
