Wow... This 1965 Gibson Trini Lopez Signature is truly an incredible vintage guitar. This guitar is great condition considering it's been around for over 5 decades! It's has all original parts with the exception of a re-fret to maintain the playability of the guitar. This Trini Lopez caters to the players ultimate comfort and feels like sitting down in your La-Z-Boy after a long day at work. The binding has light color aging and there's light buckle-rash on the back which is expected for it's age. The feint weather-checking on the finish only adds to the soul and aesthetic of this piece! For its rarity this guitar hasn't lost a bit of its ability, the pickups maintain the warmth and clarity of the slim semi-hollows acoustic tone and the neck is slim and comfortable, similar to a profile on a 62 es-335.
This guitar underwent a full re-fret to maintain the playability and continue the life of this legendary instrument, so that it can be played for years to come! When I asked George if there was anything I should know about it, I saw the look of love and yearning in his eyes! "It's a beautiful guitar," were his exact words. A fully functioning, beautiful instrument that was lovingly taken care of and played. Included with the guitar is a period correct Gibson Hardshell Case. This is one fine example of a guitar that has enjoyed a resurgence of popularity in the hands of Dave Grohl. Want the original, here it is!
