The Performer Series received some massive upgrades over the original version including updated V Mod Pickups, upgraded hardware, and a new 63 neck profile with rolled fingerboard edges. Finished in the classic 3-Color Sunburst, this beauty plays as good as it looks!
The ultra-playable neck on this upgraded model is made from a piece of maple and then topped with a Rosewood Fingerboard. The neck features a 63 C Profile arguably one of the most comfortable neck profiles of all time! The back of the neck has what Fender calls the Super Natural Finish which simulates the feel of natural wood. It's a satin urethane that is super durable yet thin. With a nut width of 1.625" along with a 9.5" fingerboard radius, 20 narrow-tall frets, and a bone nut, this bass feels as good as it sounds!
The New V Mod II Pickups have been revamped to be more articulate, and maintain their Fender-esque qualities. A master volume and master tone are tied to the single P Bass pickup so this instrument is about as easy to navigate as they get! Fat, punchy, aggressive, assertive, this P-Bass sounds awesome!
