This Used Fender Custom Shop 69 Stratocaster Relic in Vintage White w/ Matching Headstock is here on trade. The neck is straight, the frets are still crowned, and the truss rod functions properly. Included with the guitar is the hardshell case and certificate of authenticity.
This Custom Shop Strat weighs in at 7 lbs 10 oz. So much to appreciate about this guitar. Let's start with the large, reversed headstock. This gives the guitar a look that separates it from the rest. The headstock is also painted to match the body, another distinguishing visual element. It's a heavy relic so there are several spots worn through to the wood. Weather checking, dings, dents, all the hallmarks of a well-traveled guitar.
The neck is carved from maple and features the 69-U shape. This is one of the only necks that many Strat and Tele players agree upon. It's a medium-sized neck that measures in at .850" depth at the 1st fret and .910" at the 12th. It is a full-feeling neck without being bloated or a Nocaster, for that matter. It has a 9.5" fingerboard radius on it and twenty-one 6105 frets. Scale length is 25.5" and nut width is 1.650"
The pickup compliment is a well-thought-out set. In the neck and middle positions, we have hand-wound 69 Strat pickups. These pickups are sweet, bright, and chimney with a treble-heavy presence. If you like jingle-jangle, you'll like the 69s! In the bridge position, we have a hand-wound Fat 60s. The bridge 69 is a bit too bright for many people's preferences so switching it up to a Fat 60s shears the top-end off and replaces it with a warmer, thicker-sounding pickup. It really goes nicely with the two 69s. The bridge pickup is angled in a left-handed manner, also removing just a smidge of the sting from the plain strings and adding it to the wrapped strings. A 5-way pickup selector switch, master volume, and 2 tone controls round out the electronics.
Nobody treats used guitars as we do at The Music Gallery! Every trade-in goes through an inspection, gets cleaned, then some fresh strings, and a full set-up before being put up for sale. We often even put guitars with worn frets through our Plek machine if need be! Rest assured, any Used Guitar from The Music Gallery has certainly passed its physical!
