The Martin OMC-XIE Acoustic-Electric Guitar in Black is a cost-effective acoustic-electric guitar from the industries leading manufacturer. Despite not being made of traditional tonewoods, this guitar still retains that classic Martin Sound.
Made with HPL (or High-Pressure Laminate) body materials, this guitar is far less susceptible to temperature and humidity shifts. The all-black, satin finish looks exceptionally cool and the body has a smooth and dry feeling rather than being tacky like many full gloss finishes.
The neck is made from laminated Black Birch Strips which is then topped with FSC Certified Richlite. The neck profile is the Performing Artist with the High-Performance Taper. This is a great playing guitar, easy to play no matter your approach.
An easy-to-use- Fishman MX pickup system comes stock in the OMCXAE. From the moment you open the gigbag, this guitar is ready for the stage, studio, rehearsal space, wherever!
From the Martin Website... The OMCXAE Black is now the OMC-X1E Black. This Auditorium sized model has a sharp jett black high-pressure laminate (HPL) top, back, and sides guaranteed to get you noticed. New Style 28 mother-of-pearl pattern fingerboard inlay steps up the OMC-X1E Black, lending a bit of classic Martin style to this affordably priced model. It is equipped with Fishman® MX electronics and strung with Martin’s Authentic Acoustic Lifespan® 2.0 strings. With a new, soft gig bag featuring headstock, bridge, and endpin protectors, a durable water-repellent exterior, and foam padding, this model is ready to go anywhere.
