The Taylor 412ce V-Class Grand Concert Acoustic-Electric pairs Ovangkol back and sides with a spruce top for a tone that blends the harmonic density of rosewood with the crisp mid-range of mahogany. We love this relatively new tone-wood combo and find it pleasing for the instrumentalist as well as the singer/strummer. Read on to learn all about this Grand Concert size acoustic-electric guitar!

According to Taylor, "Ovangkol shares rosewood’s full-spectrum tonal range, with a slightly fuller midrange and a bright, focused top end. The smaller body will curb the overtones and fit well in a mix with other instruments." Paired with a Sitka Spruce top for incredible performance whether strumming or finger-picking, this guitar seems to handle everything you throw at it with grace.

A tropical Mahogany neck is topped with an Ebony Fingerboard, the classic Taylor Combo. The fingerboard radius is 15" for a flat feel from the nut to butt. The neck is carved to that familiar profile so many Taylor players continue to flock to. 24.8" scale length gives the strings a slightly slinky feel when compared to say a Martin D-28. 1.75" nut width puts the strings right under your fingers.

Taylor Guitars has been around since 1974 and Bob Taylor has been there every step of the way. Taylor Guitars changed the entire Acoustic Guitar industry making them more playable, easier on the fingers, and more and more tuneful. From incorporating modern manufacturing techniques that have allowed for much easier repairs to developing great sounding but easy to use electronic systems, Taylor Guitars as always been THE player-driven acoustic guitar manufacturer. The Music Gallery always has a wide selection of Taylor Guitars in stock. From the Academy Series up to the Presentation Series we try to have something from every level of the product line on hand.
