This Used 2007 Fender Custom Shop 1963 Telecaster Relic in Sonic Blue is here on consignment. The neck is straight, the frets are still crowned, and the truss rod functions properly. Included with the guitar are the original hardshell case and certificate of authenticity.
This is a 1963 Tele with a maple cap fingerboard, and a 67 Tele neck profile which makes this guitar a special order. It's a 63 Tele otherwise with the correct body material of Alder, the right neck shaft wood of maple, the right bridge saddles, and the right pickups. It just has the snappier, brighter-sounding fingerboard material. The neck measures in at .850" at the 1st fret and .930" at the 12th fret so it's got a little fuller feel than say the Strats of the same era. Its frets measure (using Jescar's Formula) 46-104, a fairly low feeling medium jumbo fret thanks to the lacquer maple fingerboard.
