This Used 2021 Fender Custom Shop 55 Telecaster Journeyman in 2 Color Sunburst is here on trade. It is only a couple of years old so it remains in great shape. the neck is straight, the frets are still crowned, and the truss rod functions properly. Included with the guitar are the certificate of authenticity, original hardshell case, and build sheet.
Originally ordered by The Willcutt Guitar Shoppe, this is a cool 1955 Telecaster Journeyman Relic with a juicy, fat neck and a set of hand-wound pickups that do that clean cluck n' strut thing to perfection! It features a 2 piece swamp ash body which helps the guitar weigh 7 lbs 3 oz, a very nice, lightweight Tele!
Traditional Tele controls make it easy to find the sound you are looking for. A master volume, master tone, and 3-way pickup switch are familiar for most and easy to navigate for beginners. The Hand-Wound 55-56 Telecaster Pickup set absolutely crush the tones of the era. The bridge pickup barks and bites while the neck pickup is dark, hollow and warm. They pair perfectly in the middle for a rich, full, acoustic-like tone.
The neck is made from Rift Sawn maple which offers fantastic stability. It has a big, beefy neck that measures .940" at the 1st fret and .970 at the 12th. Skinny Neck Aficionados need not apply! This one has too much beef for you! Other neck numericals are a 9.5" fingerboard radius, 6105 frets, 1.650" nut width, and 25.5" scale length.
Nobody treats used guitars as we do at The Music Gallery! Every trade-in goes through an inspection, gets cleaned, then some fresh strings, and a full set-up before being put up for sale. We often even put guitars with worn frets through our Plek machine if need be! Rest assured, any Used Guitar from The Music Gallery has certainly passed its physical!
