This Used 2012 Gibson ES-137 Classic Semi-Hollow in Blues Burst is in on trade and it is in great shape. We sold it to its original owner a few years back and we are happy to see it again! We maintained this guitar over the last 8 years so we know it has been well taken care of. The neck is straight, the frets are still crowned, and the truss rod is functioning properly. Included with the guitar is the original hardshell case.

The Gibson ES-137 Classic served many players for many years. From 2002-2013, this Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar split the difference between ES-335 and Les Paul with choice appointments from both. The Florentine style single-cut body design (Les Paul) with double f-holes features a Mahogany center-block design. The broad but thin ES-137 is longer across the face than a Les Paul thinner than a 175 and thicker than a 335. It has a strong acoustic presence when played unplugged but it also has some killer pickups in it.

The 490R and 498T Humbuckers from Gibson are still the same pickups used in the Les Paul Custom. Yep, the tones you fell in love with the moment you played your first riff on a Les Paul Custom come stock on this semi-hollow. Personally, I love these pickups for their incredible lead tones. They can sing and soar with the best of them. They do clean up nicely, though they aren't as open and airy sounding as some of Gibson's more recent pickups. Each pickup has its own volume and tone and is accessible via the 3 way toggle pickup selectors switch.

The neck is made from Maple, shaped to a 50s D Profile and measures in at .934" at the 1st fret and at .970" at the 12th fret. A bound rosewood fingerboard is present with a ... fingerboard radius and trapezoid inlays. 1 and 11/16" nut width and 24.75" scale length round out the details.

Rock, Rockabilly, jazz, hard rock, blues, even Metal works on this guitar! It's a true workhorse which has me wondering why it was discontinued in the 1st place? We loved these things, both the Classic and the Custom!

Nobody treats used guitars as we do at The Music Gallery! Every trade-in goes through an inspection, cleaning, restring, and set up before being put out on sale. We even put guitars with bad frets through our Plek machine if need be. If this service piques your interest learn more here or give us a call!
