Included with the guitar is the original hardshell case.
This 2003 Gibson John Lennon J-160e Peace Edition Acoustic-Electric offers a recreation of one of the most famous acoustic guitars of all time. Granted, the acoustic this one is based on saw a few different looks over the years so this one captures the look after its psychedelic paint was removed. The classic look of a blonde top with light-colored mahogany gets some unique touches thanks to the single coil P-90 Pickup installed by the neck along with the top-mounted master volume and tone control.
Build-wise, this guitar needed to reject feedback and howling in a live scenario with the PA Equipment of the time. They used a Ladder Bracing to reduce issues. This type of bracing is a bit more robust so this model is not as lively as instruments with a lighter bracing system. However, you can get away with a bit more volume and gain thanks to this bracing change. They also used laminated Spruce and Mahogany for the top, back, and sides which also helped reduce feedback and howling.
Nobody treats used guitars as we do at The Music Gallery! Every trade-in goes through an inspection, gets cleaned, then some fresh strings, and a full set-up before being put up for sale. We often even put guitars with worn frets through our Plek machine if need be! Rest assured, any Used Guitar from The Music Gallery has certainly passed its physical!
