The PRS Custom 24 in Charcoal Burst features a highly figured maple top. It's a gorgeous finish over an equally gorgeous figured maple top.
The Custom 24 is the model that gave Paul Reed Smith guitars their reputation as one of the most innovative companies on the market. They have been able to blur the lines of the giants and make an instrument that benefited the player to the utmost degree. As a former repairman Paul knew the foibles of the other manufacturer's and decided to build a guitar free from all those issues.
The body is built with a Carved Figured Maple top and Mahogany back wood which features a Charcoal Burst finish. The neck is also constructed of Mahogany and has 24 frets on a Rosewood Fretboard with a 10" fingerboard radius. Inlaid into the fingerboard are the classic PRS Birds making this a quintessential, classic PRS.
This guitar comes stock with 85/15 Treble and Bass PRS Humbucker Pickups. There is a rear-routed volume control, tone control, and 5-way blade pickup switch. The Custom 24 is loaded with all Nickel Hardware, a Gen III PRS patented tremolo and a PRS Phase III Locking Tuners. Included with the guitar is the original hardshell case, hang tag and paperwork.
