This Used 2002 PRS Custom 22 10 Top in Teal is here on consignment. It is in very nice shape. It does have some small dings and chips in the finish but nothing large or detrimental. This was a true Player's Guitar so it shows the typical wear you expect from someone who loved playing it. The pickup covers show some tarnishing as well. The neck is straight, the frets are still crowned, and the truss rod is functioning properly. Included with the guitar is the original hardshell case.
The PRS Custom 22 sports all the crucial ingredients for a knockout performance! A carved and figured maple 10 top sits atop a mahogany body for a time-tested and player-approved tonewood cocktail that sings with sustain, body, and top-end clarity. A 10 Top, or Ten Top, denotes that the piece of maple chosen for the top of this guitar is a higher grade than typically chosen for the Model Guitar. This one features tones of flame that is nice and tight. The guitar is finished in Teal, and as anyone who has seen a Core USA Made PRS in person can attest, PRS Finishes are second to none!
The neck is made from Mahogany and topped with a Dark Rosewood fingerboard. It is carved to what feels like a Wide-Fat profile and is ultra-comfortable for anyone who digs a 50s Gibson feel.
A pair of PRS Dragon II Humbucker are installed and tied to a master volume, master tone, and 5-way rotary switch. These are an assertive, aggressive pickup that has some sweet quack and cluck in the mixed positions. Many players have the rotary switch swapped out for a toggle but it's always fun having a rotary find its way back to the shop.
