Used Fender Custom Shop 51 Nocaster NOS in Nocaster Blonde R6775

Regular price $2,595.00 Sale

This Used Fender Custom Shop 51 Nocaster NOS in Nocaster Blonde is here on consignment and it is in great shape. It is clean, cosmetically, and it is fully functioning. The neck is straight, the frets are still crowned, and the truss rod is functioning properly. Included with the guitar is the original Thermometer Style Hardshell Case. These cases have become collectibles and are my personal favorite for housing any Tele that will fit!

The Nocaster, as it has become to be known, marks an interesting story in the History of the Fender Guitar Company. When the Telecaster body shape first came out, it was called the Broadcaster. Unfortunately for Fender, the Gretsch Company already produced a Drum Kit under the same name. So for the time being, Fender removed the Broadcaster Decal and replaced it with... nothing and The Nocaster was born! This guitar is built like they were in 1951 but with a few player-friendly tweaks, that make this a far more playable guitar than any actual Nocaster.

An Ash Body is one main ingredient in this recipe. This bright sounding wood shows beautiful grain through its Nocaster Blonde Finish. This guitar was made in 2007 so the finish has darkened a bit over the years, rather than lightened as some do.

The neck is made from a single piece of Maple and sports the Nocaster U neck profile. This is a Fat Neck, no matter how you look at it, with .970" depth at the 1st fret and a full inch at the 12th. The magnificent beast of a neck helps this guitar resonate like a tuning fork! Vibrant, lively, and resonant are 3 terms that come to mind immediately. An Authentically Vintage Playing Experience is yours with a 7.25" fretboard radius, Vintage Sized Frets, 1.650" Nut Width, and 25.5" Scale length.

The pickups are the 51 Nocaster Set. This is a great set of pickups that truly capture the sound of the early 1950s. The tones are classic Fender all the way. A biting and barking bridge pickup paired with a nice, warm, dark neck pickup gives us all the classic sounds we could want. They are tied to a master volume, and a Blend control that allows for far more choices regarding the amount of each pickup 'in the mix', along with a 3-way pickup selector switch. While these controls are a little different than normal, they are easy to navigate and you'll find some unique tones in there you just can't find with traditional Tele controls.

Nobody treats used guitars as we do at The Music Gallery! Every trade-in goes through an inspection, cleaning, restring, and set up before being put out on sale. We even put guitars with bad frets through our Plek machine if need be. If this service piques your interest learn more here or give us a call!
