This Used Fender Custom Shop Custom Deluxe Telecaster in Sonic Blue is in on consignment and it is in great shape. With only a few hours of playtime on it, this guitar is clean cosmetically and it is fully functioning. The neck is straight, the frets are still crowned, and the truss rod is functioning properly. Included with the guitar are the certificate of authenticity and the original hardshell case.
This is a very cool Tele that borrows specs from all the different era's of the Telecaster to form one cool, modern beast with a few tricks up its sleeve! Most notably, the bridge pickup is a Seymour Duncan Custom Shop BG1400. Here is what the Duncan Website says about it... "The rudest Tele lead pickup we make will hit back whatever you throw at it. The BG-1400 is constructed with two very overwound coils on top of one another that both hand out its thick tone and stay quiet when you’re playing on stage, in the studio, or at home. Alnico 5 magnets are used for added pick attack presence." With DC Resistance of 29.2k this pickup is not for the vintage minded! This bridge pickup screams and pushes the input of a tube amp in a beautifully musical way. This pickup is teamed with a Twisted Tele in the neck position. A pickup that has quickly become the favorite of many Telecaster Players. Learn more about the Twisted Tele by reading our blog post about them!
The body is made from Ash and the wood was sorted for lightweight. Ash is the wood used on the earliest Tele's that made it to market and its use is currently being restricted by Fender to help replenish a quickly exhausting material.
A stunning AA Birdseye Maple Neck shows some nice figuring and a dark rosewood fingerboard caps it off. The board itself has a 9.5" radius and is loaded with Sanko 6105 Frets.
A 6 Saddle Bridge offers better intonation that the 3 barrel saddle style bridges. The modern block saddles are smooth to the touch making palm muting very comfortable.
Nobody treats used guitars as we do at The Music Gallery! Every trade-in goes through an inspection, cleaning, restring, and set up before being put out on sale. We even put guitars with bad frets through our Plek machine if need be. If this service piques your interest learn more here or give us a call!
