Chris Deeter

Violin / Fiddle / Piano

"The gift of music is truly one of the greatest things in life, and to share that with others is really a dream come true. I feel honored to call myself an educator, to have the privilege of sharing my love and knowledge of music with others that want to learn."

Chris Deeter is a passionate educator, performer, and recording musician in the Chicagoland area. She offers a wealth of knowledge and experience in classical violin, fiddle, country, and rock. Her students can expect to learn technique, music theory fundamentals, the confidence to perform, and most importantly, how to enjoy music and make it fun!

Chris Deeter was introduced to Violin and Viola at an early age and has assiduously studied and performed into adulthood. She trained classically as a member of Midwest Young Artists and routinely outperformed her peers, which provided her a rightful seat as a first chair violinist in multiple chamber ensembles and orchestras. She is also a protege of world renowned violist, Rami Solomonow at DePaul University where she studied Viola Performance.

Her career has brought her all over the nation where she has played prestigious and diverse venues such as The Lyric Opera House, Millennium Park, Ravinia, Northwestern University, The Metro, and Summerfest.

Chris is able to teach absolute beginners to advanced students in a wide variety of styles; making her an excellent choice for students looking to deepen their understanding of any style or explore the violin's many adaptations!
