Upon opening the case of this one of a kind Martin Custom Shop 12 String, I found my breathe taken away. This is a STUNNING guitar. The wood used in it's construction is beyond striking. It's rick, droplet-like figuring is both eye catching and mesmerizing. The guitar is dressed as a 42 with a beautiful abalone inlay around the edge of the top that adds another layer of elegance to an already amazingly striking guitar.
While this is easily one of the most striking guitars we have seen in quite some time, it's also one of the finest sounding 12 strings we have EVER had. Neck and Neck with one of the All Koa 12's we built last year, this is the only 12 I have ever heard that stacks up. Perfect jingle jangle, superb low end articulation and separation, balance across all strings.
This is also a shockingly easy guitar to play. Most acoustic 12's have you shaking your fretting hand out after a few minutes but this beauty is set up to play for days! And you might find yourself entranced in it's complex harmonic web so consider this your warning: you can't unplay a guitar!
