An Adirondack Spruce Top was chosen because we love to pair it with a D-18. The 18 model tends to be the choice of singers and strummers and the uniform articulation of mahogany lends itself to be sung over incredibly well. So, while some acoustics peter out when you hit them hard, this one just keeps going and going!
The back and sides are constructed from Sipo Mahogany. This wood is sourced from Africa and is considered to be the closest in terms of looks to Genuine Mahogany. We love it as it's super light weight and resonant. Pair with a stiff vibrant top, guitars with back and sides of Sipo give you a very lively playing experience.
The neck is made from Genuine Mahogany and topped with an Indian rosewood Fingerboard. A bone Nut, 16" fingerboard radius, 25.340" Scale Length, and 1 and 11/16" Nut Width combine for a highly playable guitar with a familiar feel. The bridge is also made of Indian rosewood.
