This Fender® Custom Shop 1960 Telecaster Custom Relic in Candy Apple Red is one of my favorite guitars. Featuring a lightweight Ash body, quartersawn maple neck, AAA Rosewood fingerboard and a set of hand-wound Twisted Tele pickup this is a player friendly piece that has all the right specs to make it your #1!
The hand-wound Twisted Tele pickups give you all the Tele twang and bite you can handle. The bridge pickup snaps and growls with plenty of twang for the country picker. The neck pickup is smooth and warm with well-balanced highs and lows and a slightly punchy midrange. in the middle position you'll find the best of both worlds. A brilliant top end with sparkle but a warm richness on the low side and a perfectly scooped mid range gives you quintessential tele tones! The traditional tele electronics of a master volume, master tone and 3 way toggle are present for easy access to all the tones you'll need.
The Mid 60's Oval C neck shape is one of Fender's most popular neck profiles. It is a bit on the slimmer side with a nice taper that fattens up as you work your way up the neck. The 9.5" radius and 6105 frets make playability a breeze. Big bends and vibrato are easy while the guitars sustain nicely.
