This is a stunning guitar! It's a Fender Custom Shop Artisan Series Thinline Stratocaster with a Figured Koa Top that sports a wicked Chevron Flame! To top it off, the guitar is inlaid with a herringbone around the top and bound with tortoise for the coolest looking Thinline Strat we have ever seen.
Behind the scene's, a roasted Ash Body has been hollowed out for a Thinline or Semi Hollow Design. This greatly reduces the weight as well making this the perfect Strat for long nights with a strap. It also add's a cushy low end that makes the Strat sound thicker than normal. It's still the same size and dimensions of a normal Strat, just with a good portion of the bass-side hollowed out.
Even the neck is made from some serious timber. A Roasted Birdseye Maple Neck is carved to the shape of a 63 Strat with a depth of .810" at the 1st fret and .970" at the 12th fret. A 9.5" radius and 6105 Frets adorn the African Blackwood Fingerboard and make this as fine a playing guitar as it is looking.
Only the best pickups Fender makes will do in a specimen like this. A set of Hand Wound Fat 50's Pickups deliver the tone of the 1950's but with a more Modern mentality so they play better with the amps of today. In other words, they are wound a little hotter! Classic Strat controls grant access to all the sounds you'll expect and need.
