For those looking for that Fatter than Fender Sound but with the form and function of the Stratocaster. The HSH Player Series is a players dream, especially for those looking to overdrive an amp. This pickup config was huge in the late 80's and early 90's. If you want a guitar with the most tonal possibilities, this is it! Coil tap the humbuckers, throw in an S1, turn the bottom tone into a blend and you got just about EVERY sound you'll ever need in one guitar!
The Alnico 2 Humbuckers are big sounding with superb articulation, some added compression and output to hit the input a bit harder. The Alnico 5 Single Coil has enough output to keep up with the buckers. The guitar still sounds great in positions 2 and 4 as well so you can still get some vowel-y quack out of this rock machine.
The neck is made from maple, carved to a modern c shape, topped with a Pau Ferro fingerboard that sports a 9.5" radius and 22 Medium Jumbo Frets. We love these necks and find them supremely playable. Slim in the 1st position with a nice taper that fattens as you climb.
Fender keeps building guitars for player's. With their eye on offering tons of features for not a whole lot of money, you can easily find the right Fender for whatever your needs may be.
