These pickups have some sweet heat to them. A little more oomph than a Vintage Voiced Pickup the Tomatillo's won't melt faces with their heat but they will push a tube amp into drive mode just a little ahead of schedule. If you like a Texas Special but with slightly softer highs and the ability to sweeten up with a little volume and tone control work.
