We love to try and serve as many guitar players as possible so if that means stock a bunch of guitars that none of us can play, so be it! Our first lefty PRS SE model is a Custom 25 in Tobacco Sunburst. A surprisingly beautiful and refined guitar, especially for the money. PRS quality has never been suspect so when they decided to get some import instruments put together, you can rest assured they did their due diligence and have found the best factory in terms of Quality Control for the dollar spent.
In terms of feel, it has classic PRS components from top to bottom making this a familiar feeling guitar. The Wide Thin neck is perfect for growing hands, small to medium sized hands, or for those who are playing more single notes than chords. But, who am I kidding, these feel great for even sophisticated chord work too.
1 and 11/16" nut width gives this neck a very classic feel and string spacing, making it feel perfectly at home from strum one. The 85/15 S pickups sound as good in humbucker mode as they do in single coil mode thanks to a Push/pull pot that doubles as your master tone control.
The PRS SE Custom 24 is the quintessential SE instrument, designed to faithfully reflect the PRS model that started it all. The PRS SE Custom 24 Lefty brings classic PRS playability, reliability, and vibrant tone to the left-handed players of the world. Gig-ready and studio sound, this model keeps all the same foundational specifications as the SE Custom 24: maple top, mahogany back, Wide Thin maple neck, 24 frets, 25” scale length, the PRS patented molded tremolo, and dual 85/15 “S” pickups with a 3-way blade switch and push/pull tone control for coil tapping.
Lefties are hard to come by so we are thankful that companies like PRS are throwing their hat into the affordable lefty guitar arena. Stop by the shop and play a handful of lefties from Fender, Gretsch, and Paul Reed Smith!
