This is a slick Fender Custom Shop 57 Stratocaster Relic in Black! This electric guitar features a quartersawn maple neck, 57 Soft V Neck profile, an alder body, a set of hand-wound 50's spec pickups, and weighs 7 lbs 6 oz! This combo of specs provides you with incredible tones that truly nail the tones of the era!
The neck is made from quartersawn Maple and is shaped to a 57 Soft V Profile. The neck measure .850" in depth at the 1st fret and .990" at the 12th. This is a nice, medium-sized neck profile. The fretboard radius is 9.5" and it's topped with 6105 frets. A Classic Fender Nut Width of 1.650" and Scale Length of 25.5" provides a familiar Fender feel.
The body is made from Alder, the punchier, more assertive counterpart to Swamp Ash. This is the perfect wood choice for a Strat since it does so well clean or dirty. Paired with the 50s spec Strat pickups we get a less-bright-than-Ash tone but one that overdrives and plays dirty! The guitar is Reliced so it has been distressed courtesy of the Artisan-Level Agers at the Fender Custom Shop Factory. Finished in Black with a 1 ply white pickguard, this Strat is classic and timeless.
A set of Hand-Wound 1950s Spec Single Coil Stratocaster Pickups sounds phenomenal. A Master Volume and 2 tone controls are tied to a 5-way switch that grants access to all the quintessential Strat tones you'll need. These Hand-Wound pickups react to small adjustments to your volume or tone controls. Increased dynamic response and the ultimate in musicality are just two benefits of getting Fender's Finest.
