This guitar features a Color-Over-Color finish, which, along with the aging, gives this guitar some serious depth. Austin chose Desert Sand over Blue Agave. The 3 Ply Tortoise Shell Pickguard is a great choice, and it ties the look up tight.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA trio of Josefina Handwound Ancho Poblano Pickups is installed in this guitar. These single-coil pickups bring the heat and some extra oomph for those looking to push their amp into overdrive. They clean up and back off incredibly well with subtle changes to the onboard controls. The bottom tone control is the blender control that many players have come to appreciate.  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe neck is made from quartersawn maple and carved to a 60s oval C. It's measrures .79\" deep at the 1st fret and .93\" at the 12th. It's a familiar profile for anyone who has played a few early 60s style Strats. It has a 9.5\" fingerboard radius and 6105 frets. The Indian Rosewood fingerboard is quite striking.
