It's been a minute since we have seen of these Fender Custom Shop 1969 Stratocaster Heavy Relic in Vintage White w/Matching Headstock. This is one of our exclusive concoctions that features an insanely comfortable neck and just a fantastic sounding Handwound pickup compliment. Toss in some cool features like the large reversed matching headstock and reversed cant bridge pickup and we have a guitar that is equal parts looks, performance, and tone.
A 1969 U Shaped Neck is exceptionally comfortable, especially for those who prefer a larger neck on a Strat. The 69-U is a favorite of many Tele players due to its thickness. It was made with a 5/4 piece of quartersawn maple for extra stability. With depth at the 1st fret of .850" and .910" at the 12th fret this is a nice chunky neck that is not bloated or super heavy in the shoulders. The radius is 9.5" and the frets are 6105. The back of the neck is stripped of lacquer for a smooth, fast, and dry feeling. 1.650" Nut Width and 25.5" scale round out the features on an exceptionally comfortable neck!
The Neck and Middle Pickups are Handwound 69 that have a bell-like top end that is super sweet and musical. The bridge pickup is a Handwound Fat 60's that has a warmer, darker tone than the 69 bridge pickup. We find the 69 Bridge to be a little too bright, so the 60's Spec tames that brashness. A Master Volume, two tone controls, and a 5-way switch combine for an easy to navigate layout many players are perfectly familiar with.
