The name Eric Clapton has been tied to Fender for decades and this guitar, a Masterbuilt signature Strat by Todd Krause would certainly be appreciated by Clapton himself, especially since Krause is building Clapton's touring guitars. This is an instrument that can run the gamut from spanky cleans a la Lay Down Sally to the searing lead tones on the Journey Man record. The Mid Boost adds in a lot of output making the Noise Free Single Coil pickups sound like high output hum buckers. A factory installed 5 way switch gives you immediate access to all the quintessential Strat tones.
The neck profile is a slender Soft V which is very easy on the hands. It's carved from a piece of Plain Maple. The 9.5" Radius allows for easy bending across the 22 Vintage Frets. The neck is finished with a satin urethane that is never sticky and simply will not slow you down no matter how sweaty your hands get. This guitar is finished in Black and bears the Blackie Signature on the back of the headstock.
