This Fender Custom Shop Limited 64 Jazz Bass Journeyman Relic in Black is stellar! This Alder bodied electric bass looks as good as it sounds. From the slick Black Nitrocelusloe finish that has been expertly and carefully reliced at the factory, to the dark rosewood fingerboard, and killer chrome accouterments, this is the baddest bass in the building!
The neck is made from quartersawn maple for some added stability over flatsawn. The neck measure in at .790" deep at the 1st fret and .990 at the 12th fret. The taper gives us a much fuller feel as we climb the frets. The neck profile is a 1960 Jazz Bass U and it's topped with a AAA Rosewood Fingerboard. The fingerboard radius is 7.25" and we have 6150 Medium-Jumbo Frets.
A pair of Hand-Wound Jazz Bass Pickups provide the quintessential sounds of the era: warm, smooth, rich, thumping. Each pickup has its own volume control and there is a Master Tone control as well. It's very easy to find the sound you are looking for with these incredibly touch-sensitive and dynamic pickups.
