This Limited Edition Roasted Stratocaster Relic from the Fender Custom Shop has been Plek'd by our head technician George, the guitar also has cooked the woods for the body and neck making this guitar about as stable as can be! Hand wound Fat 50's pickups have all the charm of the era but with just a touch of extra oomph so it interacts with modern amplifiers beautifully.
The Roasted Maple Neck is cut from Birdseye Maple which gives it a unique appearance. It's been heat treated or cooked to reduce moisture content, increase stability, and give the neck a darkened tint. A 10/56 Neck Profile is topped with a 9.5" radius and Sanko 6105 Frets. The neck measures .880" at the 1st fret and .980" at the 12th. 1.650" Nut width, 25.5" Scale Length, and a Bone Nut are offer classic Fender feel.
The hand wound Fat 50's pickups are much like the stock Fat 50's but the hand winding process offers added dynamics, a more interesting harmonic presentation to some, and a set of pickups that interact beautifully with the classic on board Stratocaster controls.
