A matching headstock gives this 60's era Relic Telecaster from the Fender Custom Shop an extra touch of class. The bright white finish has a slight yellow patina to it in regular lighting conditions so the pics here are a tad whiter than it appears in person.
The typical early 60's Telecaster features an Alder Body, Maple Neck, Rosewood Fingerboard, and threaded steel saddles. This guitar follows that formula to a T but add's in some pizazz by having Select Alder used which helps this guitar weigh in at just 7 lbs 5 oz. It's also has a Rift Sawn Maple Neck for added stability and then it is topped with a AAA rated, Dark Rosewood Fingerboard. If you want authentic 60's tone, it's here!
And that's thanks in part to it's Handwound Set of 63 Tele Pickups. These pickups have some serious sweetness to them. The bridge can bark and bite with a little more teeth than a 50's era pickup. The neck pickup is still super warm and sweet with a scooped mid range and round low end. The perfect Tele to overdrive!
