This Fender Custom Shop NAMM Special 55 Telecaster Journeyman Relic in Aged White Blonde has got all the right specs to make any 50's era Tele player happy! Weighing in at a mere 7 lbs 1 oz, this will be your go to Tele anytime a strap is involved. A Fat Maple Neck, Ash Body, and a set of Hand Wound Pickups guarantee you that quintessential 50's era Fender sound.
The neck is made from rift sawn maple and carved to a 1954 U shape. This is a full feeling neck, a little more of a C than a U. The fingerboard radius is 9.5" and the frets are a set of 6105 Narrow Tall. Fret Ghosting, a worn back of the neck, 25.5" scale, a bone nut and depth of .900" at the 1st fret and .990" at the 12th fret complete the picture.
The Handwound Pickups are wound to a 55/56 Spec. Still an early Telecaster sound, these pickups can bark and bite or deliver sweet warmth. A three way switch, Master Volume, and Master Tone control round out the electronics.
