This 2020 Gibson Les Paul Classic in Translucent Cherry is being sold as a Floor Demo Model. It is in fine shape but those nitro finishes are hard to keep factory fresh! It is still in fantastic shape, its' gloss just isn't factory fresh after a couple of years. Included with the guitar is the original hardshell case and manufacturer's warranty. The Les Paul Classic has been a long-time favorite of those players that prefer the much-loved Slim Taper Neck and Gibson's hotter humbucking pickups. Fast and easy, the slim neck is all about allowing players to get in as many notes as possible with as little fatigue as possible. Fat Neck Lover's need not apply!
The Gibson Les Paul Classic combines the early 60's style Les Paul model with some functional and time-tested modifications. As expected, the LP Classic is crafted with a mahogany back and maple top coupled with a slim taper mahogany neck and bound rosewood fingerboard.
Burstbucker 61R & 61T zebra, open-coil pickups provide classic Gibson tones from the era with a bit of extra punch thanks to the open coils. The control assembly features 4 push-pull pots that provide choices of coil tapping, phase switching, and pure bypassing for functional and versatile sonic variety.
Gibson is back in 2020 with new leadership and the quality if already heading in the right direction! The first handful of guitars we have seen have had many of the issues addressed. Better cut nuts, even smoother frets, improved finish work, the improvements are quite obvious!
