There are guitars and there are instruments. This is an instrument. A Masterbuilt Gretsch from Stephen Stern is truly a thing of beauty. When playing this guitar, it feels like an extension of your soul. It resonates supremely and with a purity that you only find in the best arch top. We have seen a few of these guitars over the years and they all remain in our memories as some of the finest instruments we have played. This guitar is absolutely in that league.

One chord is all it takes and it’s blatantly obvious, this instrument is a masterpiece. Built by Stephen Stern in the Gretsch Custom Shop, this is the best playing, best sounding Gretsch we have ever seen. Period. Chords seem easier and ring with a full bodied acoustic tone that will have you leaving your amp off. However, when pulled in, the Seymour Duncan Dynosonic Single Coil Pickups have all the sweet bell like chime and sweetness you could ever want. A Deluxe or Princeton Reverb pair perfectly with it, though a Carr Rambler or Victoria Regal II would also be amazing. A Master Volume, independent pickup volume controls, a master tone control, and a 3 way toggle round out the electronics.

A full feeling neck resonates like a tuning fork. Made from Figured Maple with a full feeling C, bordering on a D. It's topped with a dark rosewood fingerboard and vintage frets for super smooth and low action. A Bone Nut, 24.6" scale length and 1.65" Nut width round out the specs on one of the most comfortable necks I have ever laid hands on.

This guitar comes with a Bigsby Tremolo installed on it though it came with an extra, non-trem tailpiece for those not looking for any trem action. Also comes with it's original certificate, custom shop case candy, and one of the coolest hardshell cases you can get. Quite possibly the best Grestch Guitars of all time are coming from Stephen Stern!
