This 00-28 from C.F. Martin and Co is made from Sitka Spruce and Indian Rosewood. It has a classic sound with a small body. It offers fantastic playability and comfort.
Much less bass than a dreadnaught, this guitar will never be boomy or step on the low end in a mix. It's the perfect size and shape to spend long hours on the couch with, with out sounding to boxy or narrow. It has a surprisingly full sounds to it thanks to the combo of sitka spruce and Indian rosewood. Scalloped X Braces allow for extra volume and projection so this little beast is surprisingly loud when pushed.
The neck is made from select hardwood and carved to a Modified Low Oval Shape with the high performance neck taper for easy play up and down the fretboard. Even bar chords are easy on this guitar. The fingerboard is made from Ebony and has a 16" radius. The bridge is also made of ebony.
24.9" scale length provides a slinky string feel that makes Light Gauge Strings (12's) feel like 11's. A little less snap on the strings helps provide a warmer tone. 1.75" Nut Width is perfect for the finger picker who needs just a little more room to work with. Not as cumbersome as a 7/8" but slightly bigger than the more traditional 1 and 11/16".
