Hollow bodied guitars are prized for their warm tone, versatility and light weight. The PRS Hollowbody II is a perfect example of a great hollow-body guitar.
Carved Maple Top and Back, Mahogany Neck with Rosewood Fingerboard, Pattern Neck Shape, cool Purple Binding and 58/15LT pickups are highlights of this excellent guitar.
The body is smaller than most hollow-body guitars. It is nicely contoured and fits well against the body. A very comfortable guitar to hold.
The 58/15LT pickups have a very vintage, warm tone, that is well balanced. Highs sparkle, mids have a nice kick and the lows are clean and defined. The bridge pickup has a nice bite that works well for blues and classic rock guitar. A bit more refined tone than you would find on a Gibson. The neck pickup is full and smooth. Retains it's clarity even with mild overdrive. Roll the tone off you get a nice vintage jazz tone.
The Pattern neck shape has a nice medium thickness. Not super fat but certainly not the skinny.
If you want a Hollow Body, Arched Top guitar that is easy to wield all night long, the PRS HB2 should be first on your list to check out.
