We are very pleased to have this 1968 Fender Telecaster Olympic White w/ohsc in on consignment. Absolutely all original and clean with original case. The only thing not original is the strings. It has a very nice patina and has only seen very kind use from this two-owner piece. Make sure to take a look at all the pics as we did our best to shoot pics of all the important stuff.
A Rare Maple Cap fingerboard and very rare Birdseye Maple neck are carved into a perfectly comfortable C profile. The Olympic White over Ash body has aged just like one would expect. From White to Yellow, that's just what happened to this finish back in the day! It has a very rare non-spring 3-way toggle switch. We've only seen these twice in recent memory over the last 50 years. The typically seen, minor fret wear with slight divots are present but there is plenty of meat left for a vintage size fret wire. The neck is straight and the truss rod is functional.
Pre '68 threaded saddles. Pot date codes are the 17th week of '66. Feb '68 B neck date. The 3 ply white pickguard has the typical white Pearloid on the underside. A truly spectacular piece! It even includes the original bridge ashtray cover. You'd be hard-pressed to find a more original Blue Chip collector's piece!
