This Used 2013 Gibson Les Paul Studio Deluxe II in Cherry Burst is in on trade and in great shape. The neck is straight, the frets are still crowned, and the truss rod is functioning properly. Included with the guitar is the original hardshell case.
Think of this 2013 Gibson Les Paul Studio as though it has taken a couple of steps towards a Standard, most notably with its figured maple top and sophisticated electronic set-up. While the guitar lacks all the plastic and celluloid accouterments you'll find on higher line models from Gibson, this one is loaded with a bevy of premium features.
The body is made from mahogany and then topped with a book-matched figured maple top. The neck is made from mahogany and topped with a Rosewood fingerboard. This classic tonewood combo remains the same on the Studio, to the Custom, and even into the Custom Shop Models. Wood this dense ain't light so this LP weighs in at 9 lbs 12 oz.
The bridge pickup is a Burstbucker Pro for all the heat you'll need. The Burstbucker Pro Bridge Humbucker enhances the vintage "edge" of Gibson's popular Burstbucker pickups with the added feature of an Alnico 5 magnet. The Burstbucker Pro's characteristic sweet harmonic complexity and crystalline clarity derive from its slightly unmatched bobbin windings. The neck pickup is a 490R, the same pickup used in the Les Paul Custom for decades. Gibson answered the call in the mid to late 1960s for a more versatile pickup that could split coils through a push/pull knob and prevent microphonic feedback from occurring when the volumes were turned up to maximum levels with the introduction of the revolutionary 490T and 490R pickups. The 490R is a humbucker with the tonal characteristics of an original PAF, with a slight increase in upper mid-range response. This neck pickup is bold, beefy, and absolutely sings with sustain. Each pickup is tappable via the push/push on the tone controls. There is also an onboard boost that is accessible via the push/push volume controls.
