This Used 2018 PRS Limited Edition McCarty 549 Soapbar in Black Gold Wrap Burst is in on trade. It is in fantastic shape as it has hardly been played. When it was played by its 1 previous owner, it was done so with care, so the guitar remains free from anything negative cosmetically speaking. The neck is straight, the frets are still crowned, and the truss rod is functioning properly. We sold this guitar originally and were more than happy to take it back on trade.

We have taken many trips to the factory over the years to hand-select woods and this guitar is just about as beautiful as it gets! A Limited Edition run of the much loved McCarty 594 but loaded with a set of PRS Soapbar Pickups for classic, spanky, and snarly tones! All the stuff we have grown to love about the 594 but that early Gibson tonal palette is certainly considered to be the best of both worlds by some.
The McCarty 594 gets its name from the actual scale length Paul determined to be used on what have become the most expensive vintage guitars: the Gibson's of the late '50s. So this model is built with 24.594" scale length for a truly perfect authentic playing experience.
This is a fantastic playing guitar with its Pattern Vintage Neck, an asymmetrical neck profile that is slightly thicker from front to back. The treble side of the neck has a little less meat on it, giving it a perfect feel no matter the position. The neck is made from Mahogany and it is topped with a Dark Rosewood fingerboard. The fingerboard is bound with Faux Bone for a striking contrasting look. The fingerboard is inlaid with Birds for all the classic PRS appointments.
The McCarty 594 was an instant classic upon its announcement and we have seen them in many incarnations. Semi Hollows, Hollow bodies, solid bodies with humbuckers, and now this version with Soapbar Pickups. All have been equally as cool but this one will certainly speak to the 50's era enthusiast!
