This Used 2020 Gibson Acoustic Hummingbird Standard in Vintage Cherry Sunburst is here on Consignment. It is in great shape, cosmetically and it is fully functioning. Included with the guitar is the original hardshell case. We were the original sellers of the guitar about a year ago and it looks about as good as it did the day it left!
The 2020 Gibson Acoustic Hummingbird Standard in Vintage Cherry Sunburst is based on the Square Shouldered Original, coveted for its beautiful Cherry Sunburst and Etched Pickguard, The Hummingbird has long been an object of desire for the singer-songwriter. Other visual elements like the multi-ply body binding, split parallelogram fingerboard inlays, and Gibson's legendary Heritage Cherry Sunburst combine for one of the most striking acoustic guitars of all time!
The wood combo of Sitka Spruce and Mahogany provides a focused, articulate tone that is perfect to sing along with. This classic tonewood-combo is focused, dry, and articulate. Quite literally, the perfect instrument to sing over. The Square Shouldered Body Design gives the low end a less forward or dominant place in the mix.
The neck is made from mahogany and it’s topped with a nice rosewood fingerboard. Split Parallelogram Inlays are inlaid into the fingerboard and the fingerboard is bound as well which really elevates the looks to the next level. 24.75" Scale Length keeps the strings feeling a little slinky compared to a Martin. 12" Fingerboard Radius gives us a familiar feel on a Gibson. 1.72" Nut Width has a little more space between the strings than on a 1 and 11/16". Perfect for those of us with chubbier fingers!
This guitar comes with the LR Baggs VTC PIckup System factory installed. This easy-to-use, fantastic sounding system is simple to dial in and seems to sound good no matter what you plug it into! A volume and tone control are mounted in the soundhole so on-the-fly adjustments are a breeze.
