This Fender American Vintage 1962 Stratocaster Reissue in Tropical Turquoise is here on consignment. The guitar is in great shape. It is clean, cosmetically, and it is fully functioning. The neck is straight, the frets are still crowned and the truss rod is functioning correctly. Included with the guitar is the original hardshell case. Tropical Turquoise was only available on the 2011 Edition of this guitar.
If a Vintage playing guitar is your thing, then the American Vintage Series, now discontinued, is for you! Built as they were spec for spec in 1962, though with the know-how of modern manufacturing. That's what we call in the industry a win-win!
The neck is made from maple and then topped with a rosewood fingerboard. The fingerboard carries a 7.25" radius and has 21 Vintage Sized frets installed. The neck profile is that of a 62 Strat, so it's a nice thin C shape in the 1st position that tapers to a fuller feel with more of a U shape. 1.650" nut and 25.5" scale length combine so the strings are always in the right place along with that classic taut Fender feel.
The pickups are a set of American Vintage 57/62 Strat. These were sort of the Custom Shop Strat Pickup before there were Custom Shop Pickups. These pickups always appeared in Fender's more expensive models as they were one of the 1st after-market parts from them to really capture the sound of the Era. They also appeared in many of the early Custom Shop guitars. They sound great paired with Alder and Rosewood with warmth, richness, and a full body that is never brash or harsh.
Nobody treats used guitars as we do at The Music Gallery! Every trade-in goes through an inspection, cleaning, restring, and set up before being put out on sale. We even put guitars with bad frets through our Plek machine if need be. If this service piques your interest learn more here or give us a call!
