This Used Fender Custom Shop 1963 Stratocaster NOS in Sherwood Green is here on consignment and it is in great shape. It is clean, cosmetically, and it is fully functioning. The neck is straight, the frets are still crowned, and the truss rod is functioning properly. Included with the guitar is the original certificate of authenticity and hardshell case.
Sort of an odd-bird here, if you ever wanted a Maple Fingerboard on an other-wise 63 Stratocaster well, here it is! And the neck is one piece Quartersawn Maple, no 2 piece fingerboard on this beast! Lively, resonant, bright, snappy, honestly, this Strat can do a sweet Tele impersonation! The neck is shaped to a 60s Style Oval C shape with a 9.5" fingerboard radius, and 6105 frets. 1.650" but width and 25.5" scale length make this baby feel like a Fender!
The body is made from Alder which provides a blank canvas, tone-wise. It is finished in Sherwood Green Metallic which is a somewhat less often seen color but one that we adore! This NOS, or New Old Stock guitar still looks factory fresh with no distressing, or accrued wear-n-tear. A mint green pickguard gives this beauty a slick yet very subtle Two-Tone-Green vibe.
A set of Handwound 60 Spec Stratocaster Pickups are installed and they are superb! Warmth and richness meet a powerful and bright attack, resulting in a very inspiring and somewhat different sounding guitar, though still steeped in Fender-ness. A master volume, 2 tone controls, and a 5-way switch sum up the important stuff.
Nobody treats used guitars as we do at The Music Gallery! Every trade-in goes through an inspection, cleaning, restring and set up before being put out on sale. We even put guitars with bad frets through our Plek machine if need be. If this service piques your interest learn more here or give us a call!
