This Used 2012 Fender Custom Shop 1969 Stratocaster NOS in Olympic White is in on consignment and it is in excellent shape. The neck is straight, the original frets are still crowned, and the truss rod is functioning properly. Included with the guitar is the original hardshell case and certificate of authenticity. This guitar has less than 10 hours of playtime on it as it was part of a massive collection. The plastic peel off is still on the pickguard if that's an indicator!
The neck on this guitar is made from quartersawn Maple and carries the 69 U shaped profile. This is regarded by many players as the perfect Strat neck. Not too thick, not too thin, with some broad shoulders. It measures in at .850" at the 1st fret and .910" at the 12th. The fingerboard radius is 9.5" and 21 Sanko Brand 6150 frets are installed. The truss rod adjusts behind the headstock with the much loved/hated Bullet Truss Rod (I vote yay!) that allows for much easier adjustment since you don't have to take the neck off. The neck also features the large headstock, another love/hate spec that any fan of Jimi Hendrix, Ritchie Blackmore, or Yngwie can appreciate. We have a slightly wider than vintage nut width of 1.6875" which many won't notice but those with larger fingers will appreciate the extra room.
The body is made from 2 pieces of select Alder that have been sorted for weight. It is an NOS or New Old Stock finish that still looks factory fresh! No wear or tear to mention. The guitar is finished in Olympic White, a perfect choice for a 1969 Reissue!
The electronics include the 69 Strat pickups in the middle and neck positions with a Fat 50s in the bridge. This is a great combo that thickens up the bridge position over the 69 bridge pickup. A 5-way pickup selector switch, master volume, and two volume controls are present along with an S1 in the Volume Pot that engages the bridge and neck pickups.
Nobody treats used guitars as we do at The Music Gallery! Every trade-in goes through an inspection, cleaning, restring, and set up before being put out on sale. We even put guitars with bad frets through our Plek machine if need be. If this service piques your interest learn more here or give us a call!
