This Used Fender Custom Shop 62 Telecaster Journeyman Relic in Charcoal Frost Metallic is here on consignment and it is in great shape. It is clean cosmetically aside from the factory distressing to the degree of a Journeyman Relic. The neck is straight, the frets are still crowned, and the truss rod is functioning properly. Included with the guitar are the certificate of authenticity and the original hardshell case.
This is a sweet looking Tele thanks to the Charcoal Frost Metallic Finish! Black is cool but it's black... Charcoal Frost is dark, alluring, intriguing, and thanks to a small metallic flake it's got some real depth for an opaque color. The Black Abalone Style Pickguard certainly dresses things up a notch while practically any style of pickguard will look cool on this guitar. This guitar weighs in at just 6 lbs 15 oz which is quite light for an Alder, Rosewood, and maple Tele!
The neck is made from quartersawn maple and is topped with AAA graded rosewood for the fingerboard. The neck itself is carved to a 59 Esquire C profile. The fingerboard radius is shaped to a 9.5" and we have twenty-one 6105 frets installed. 25.5" scale length and 1.650" nut width gives this guitar a decidedly Fender Feel.
For the electronics, we have a set of 63 Telecaster Pickups which are perfect for Rock and Blues. A master volume, master tone, and three-way pickup selector round out the classic Telecaster controls. A set of compensated Brass Saddles are on the guitar and they help the guitar sound bell-like, sweet, and chimney with the ability to bark and bite with the best of them!
Nobody treats used guitars as we do at The Music Gallery! Every trade-in goes through an inspection, cleaning, restring and set up before being put out on sale. We even put guitars with bad frets through our Plek machine if need be. If this service piques your interest learn more here or give us a call!
