This Used Fender Custom Shop Masterbuilt Eric Clapton Stratocaster by Todd Krause in Black is here on Consignment and it is in excellent shape. The guitar is clean, cosmetically and it is fully functioning. Since the finish is black, you can see some swirl marks on the finish but nothing that amounts to wear. The neck is straight, the frets are still crowned and the truss rod is functioning properly. Included with the guitar is the original hardshell case and certificate of authenticity.
The name Eric Clapton has been tied to Fender for decades and this guitar, a Masterbuilt signature Strat by Todd Krause would certainly be appreciated by Clapton himself, especially since Krause is building Clapton's touring guitars. This is an instrument that can run the gamut from spanky cleans a la Lay Down Sally to the searing lead tones on the Journey Man record. The Mid Boost adds in a lot of output making the Noise Free Single Coil pickups sound like high output humbuckers. A factory-installed 5-way switch gives you immediate access to all the quintessential Strat tones.
The neck profile is a slender Soft V which is very easy on the hands. It's carved from a piece of Plain Maple. The 9.5" Fretboard Radius allows for easy bending across the 22 Vintage Frets. The neck is finished with a satin urethane that is never sticky and simply will not slow you down no matter how sweaty your hands get. This guitar is finished in Black and bears the Blackie Signature on the back of the headstock.
Nobody treats used guitars as we do at The Music Gallery! Every trade-in goes through an inspection, cleaning, restring, and set up before being put out on sale. We even put guitars with bad frets through our Plek machine if need be. If this service piques your interest learn more here or give us a call!
