This Used Fender Custom Shop Custom Classic Stratocaster in Lake Placid Blue is here on consignment and it is in great shape. It is clean, cosmetically, and it is fully functioning. Included with the guitar is the original hardshell case and certificate of authenticity.
The Custom Classic Stratocaster from the Fender Custom Shop skirts around the Time Machine or Build-It-Like-They-Used-To concept that many of the aged and/or relic'd guitars are built with. The Custom Classic is more of a forward-thinking model, with a more modern selection of player-friendly specs. A 2 piece Alder Body helps this wonderful guitar weigh in at 8 lbs 2 ounces.
The neck on this Custom Classic Stratocaster is made from Lightly Flamed Maple. It features a medium-sized Modern V Profile that measures in at .870" at the 1st fret and it slightly tapers up to .900" at the 12th fret. This gives the neck a more uniform feel regarding thickness, rather than one that drastically gets thicker as you climb the frets. A 9.5" fingerboard radius, medium-jumbo frets, 25.5" scale length, and a slightly wider-than-vintage nut width of 1.6875" round out the important details about the neck.
There is a set of Custom Classic Single-Coil Strat pickups installed in this guitar. The pickups are tied to a 5-way pickup selector switch that provides access to the 5, quintessential Stratocaster tones we are all looking for. A Master Volume control and 2 tone controls are also present, allowing you to dial in the exact sound you are looking for.
This is the perfect way to get into a Custom Shop Guitar. The Custom Classic was billed as a more affordable option while new and snagging one on the used market keeps the price in the low $2's.
Nobody treats used guitars as we do at The Music Gallery! Every trade-in goes through an inspection, cleaning, restring, and set up before being put out on sale. We even put guitars with bad frets through our Plek machine if need be. If this service piques your interest learn more here or give us a call!
