This Used Fender Custom Shop Custom Classic Stratocaster in Black is here on consignment. It is in great shape. The neck is straight, the frets are still crowned, and the truss rod is functioning properly. Included with the guitar is the original hardshell case and certificate of authenticity. This Electric Guitar was completed by the Fender Custom Shop in 2007.
The Custom Classic Stratocaster from the Fender Custom Shop skirts around the Time Machine or Build-It-Like-They-Used-To concept that many of the aged and/or relic'd guitars are built with. The Custom Classic is more of a forward-thinking model, with a more modern selection of player-friendly specs.
The neck is made from a piece of lightly Figured Maple which has some nice, subtle figuring that changes when viewed from different angles. It is a 1 piece neck with a skunk stripe. This allows for the truss rod to be adjusted behind the nut. A 9.5" fingerboard radius, medium jumbo 6150 frets, 25.5" scale length, and 1.6875" nut width provide you a slightly wider than vintage playing surface but still with that decidedly Fender-Feel.
There is a set of Custom Classic Single-Coil Strat pickups installed in this guitar. The pickups are tied to a 5-way pickup selector switch that provides access to the 5, quintessential Stratocaster tones we are all looking for. A Master Volume control and 2 tone controls are also present, allowing you to dial in the exact sound you are looking for.
This is the perfect way to get into a Custom Shop Guitar. The Custom Classic was billed as a more affordable option while new and snagging one on the used market keeps the price in the low $2's. An Alder Body helps this wonderful guitar weigh in at 8 lbs even.
Nobody treats used guitars as we do at The Music Gallery! Every trade-in goes through an inspection, cleaning, restring, and set up before being put out on sale. We even put guitars with bad frets through our Plek machine if need be. If this service piques your interest learn more here or give us a call!
